In this blog post, I’d like to share an episode from one of my hypnotherapy sessions I experienced over 15 years ago.
By sharing this episode, I hope to show my Healing Reading clients—both current and future— my unique gift so they feel comfortable sharing any difficult stories or emotions with me, allowing them to make the most of my service.✨
Not everyone is someone you can talk to about your worries, especially those that weigh heavily on you or feel dark. You must be selective about whom you can open up to. Also, while you may want to release those negative emotions, you might worry that your story could overwhelm the listener and pull them into darkness.
In fact, some clients hesitated to use me as an outlet for their feelings for that very reason. But with me, you can feel safe and free from such concerns. By the end of this article, I hope you’ll understand why.💓

The place my higher self took me to:
I believe it was my fourth hypnotherapy session after having experienced two past-life regressions and one regression from this lifetime with the same therapist. Following his suggestion, I asked my higher self to take me to where souls reside between incarnations and the best place to visit and experience what I’m supposed to experience.
(For those unfamiliar with hypnotherapy: even during hypnosis, part of your consciousness remains fully present. It’s as if one part of your mind is observing what the hypnotised part is experiencing—like living in a parallel universe. You are always aware of your therapist’s presence and able to respond to them throughout the session.)
During the session, my higher self took me to a few locations, including a meeting spot where you and a guide discuss your next life lesson on Earth. At one point, when we (the therapist suggested and I agreed) asked to go somewhere my higher self wanted me to experience, I was led to a large, simple hall. It reminded me of a dojo, but it smelled more like a basement dungeon.
There were no steel cages, but the ceiling was low, and over a hundred large, black orbs (*1) were lined up. Each orb was about 1.5 meters in diameter—big enough to hold a human inside. Their surfaces were transparent like bubbles, and inside, a smoke-like substance swirled fiercely, making the orbs appear black bubbles from a distance.
My higher self, slightly ahead of me, began walking among the orbs and looked back, motioning for me to follow.
As I approached the orbs, I realised each one contained a human sitting cross-legged. Peering more closely, I saw that black, smoke-like gases were issuing from their bodies, made of heavy emotions like resentment and hatred. Each person grimaced, their eyes tightly shut.
During the session, the therapist asked me where I was and what I saw in front of me. Each time, I described the scene as I have outlined above. Then, I was asked how I was feeling.
Although the space was undeniably gloomy and depressing, resembling a prison, I wasn’t scared or uncomfortable. However, seeing the people trapped in this mental cage and witnessing their anguish, I felt an urge to help and thought that there was something I could do to make a difference. This was my response to the therapist’s question about my feelings.
—After coming out of the hypnosis, the therapist acknowledged that I had visited Hell.

Message from my higher self:
I asked my higher self why I had been taken to that place after returning to the starting point of our soul journey.
If you want to help them, you can reach out and offer assistance without being pulled into their negative emotions.
That was the essence of his answer.
After the session, I remembered a conversation with my high school friend. We had two mutual friends, and I came to understand that they had shared only the positive aspects of their lives with her and only the negative with me! It all made sense now.
If my higher self had conveyed the message only through words, I’m not sure how well it would have been understood. “Don’t be scared; you’ll be fine!” —such words are often unconvincing to sensitive people because emotional experiences are deeply personal.
Although it was a hypnotic experience rather than a physical one (*2), I could recall feeling unafraid and comfortable, with no tension in my body. The experience was so convincing and powerful that I felt no anxiety when I launched Healing Reading with Nalikolehua and was fully prepared to hear others’ difficulties.
All you need to achieve your soul’s mission is—in you:
I agree with the common saying: you already have everything you need to fulfil your soul’s mission.
In my case, I realise that the ability to remain unaffected by negativity is essential for my soul’s mission. Interestingly, when I’m not in the position of giving a Healing Reading or consultation and if the other person is not ready to accept help, I can be easily affected by negativity unless I stay guarded.
When I received my Hawaiian name, Nalikolehua, the Kumu (priest) told me I was protected; my Aumakua (Hawaiian ancestral spirit) was Honu (sea turtle), whose shell symbolises a shield, offering me protection.

Having read this article, I hope you now understand why you don’t need to worry about me when requesting a Healing Reading! I encourage my clients to write to me about any difficult or dark information if they wish. I’ll be absolutely fine.✨ I’m always happy to help. 💓
Notes:
*1 The black orbs in that dungeon resembled the magical bubble from the movie Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, which Newt created to encase the Obscurus when a Sudanese girl died.
*2 I believe hypnotherapy is effective because it provides a simulated experience. If you’d like to know about hypnotherapy more, here’s a link to my story about a past-life regression that began unexpectedly during my morning meditation.

P.S. I’m a big fan of the Harry Potter series and The Lord of the Rings. Since I naturally pay attention to details, I love finding the references J.K. Rowling included in the Harry Potter books as a homage to J.R.R. Tolkien. For example, Longbottom appears in The Lord of the Rings as the name of pipe-weed because Tobold Hornblower of Longbottom is the first hobbit to grow it. And that’s why Neville Longbottom’s favorite subject is Herbology in Harry Potter! And Fred and George’s creation of dragons was certainly inspired by Gandalf’s fireworks! I hope to one day make a complete list of these discoveries—it’s such fun!🌟
