We often get confused whether we really know what our hearts desire. As long as we “think” about it, we never reach a convincing conclusion, especially in a world overflowing with digital information.
In such a situation, the best option is to believe in your intuition, gut feeling, or inspiration; no matter what you call it, that’s what you can trust the most because it is the information from your inner wisdom, which is the true gift everyone has.
But, the next concern is: How do I know if my thought is coming from my heart, not my ego? Today, I’d like to share a few tips on how to identify it.
Here are three things you can do for identifying your thoughts that came from your heart:
1. Ask For A Sign
If a thought occurs repeatedly, it is most likely from your heart. But, you can make it sure by asking your guardian angels (God or the Universe—what you call it is your choice) for a plain and recognizable sign that your thought is leading you to the next step in the right direction.
Believe in the message from a sign; do not twist the meaning of the sign, but accept it as it is.
(I wrote about one of my experiences in which a clear sign that I was not on the right path was given: “Are you going with the flow? Maybe or Yes?”)
2. The First Idea
Your ego may have great reflexes, but your intuition has an edge for speed; your idea first descends and then your ego creates rival candidates on the basis of information already registered in your mind.
When your mind is crowded with thoughts, you need to think about which thought came first, though! But, once you remember this principle, the first idea becomes your choice. You’ll then start recognizing that thoughts sent by your ego have patterns and gradually be able to segregate your pure ideas from fear-based thoughts.
“Meditation simply means focusing your mind consciously, either on a peaceful thought or positive intention” ~ From the Archangel Raphael Healing Oracle Cards
While meditating, your ego has to sit aside. Initially, worldly thoughts may be flowing into your mind at the beginning of your meditation practice, but you simply let it go through one ear to the other; try not focus on any thought.
It is likely that you’ll know the answer after meditation because, most of the time, the answer is in your heart. However, it’s generally covered by loud noise; the answer will reveal itself only after you clear the cover during meditation.
If you’re struggling to achieve a favourable outcome, it’s most likely that you’re not picking up on your intuition. Please try these three things for listening to your heart’s calling.
